On the Two ‘Sita–Kṛṣṇā’ Figures, the Sevenfold Ocean, and the Twelvefold Year

अगस्त्य उवाच । सितकृष्णे स्त्रियौ ये ते ते भगिन्यौ प्रकीर्तिते । सत्यासत्ये द्विवर्णा च नारी रात्रिरुदाहृता ॥ ६७.४ ॥

agastya uvāca | sitakṛṣṇe striyau ye te te bhaginyau prakīrtite | satyāsatye dvivarṇā ca nārī rātrir udāhṛtā || 67.4 ||

ಅಗಸ್ತ್ಯನು ಹೇಳಿದನು—‘ಸೀತಾ’ ಮತ್ತು ‘ಕೃಷ್ಣಾ’ ಎಂಬ ಆ ಎರಡು ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯರು ಸಹೋದರಿಯರೆಂದು ಪ್ರಸಿದ್ಧರು. ಸತ್ಯ-ಅಸತ್ಯರೂಪವಾಗಿ, ದ್ವಿವರ್ಣಳಾಗಿ, ಆ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯನ್ನು ‘ರಾತ್ರಿ’ ಎಂದು ಉಲ್ಲೇಖಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ।
