FAQs

It reflects a Purāṇic literary pattern where tīrtha-related or commemorative practices are linked to idealized outcomes such as cakravartin kingship, using well-known epic–purāṇic figures (e.g., Yayāti) as cultural exemplars.

The verse uses the deictic 'tatra' (“there”) without naming the site in this fragment; the specific location must be inferred from the surrounding verses of Adhyāya 43 that describe the relevant tīrtha or region.

The passage promotes sustained remembrance/praise (kīrtana/commemoration) associated with a valued place or practice, presenting wisdom (dhī) and righteous sovereignty (cakravartin ideal) as culturally exemplary outcomes.
