उपवासं त्रिरात्रं तु कृत्वा कर्म सुदुष्करम् ॥ यावन्ति भ्रममाणस्य पदानि ननु सुन्दरि

upavāsaṁ trirātraṁ tu kṛtvā karma suduṣkaram || yāvanti bhramamāṇasya padāni nanu sundari

ಹೇ ಸುಂದರಿ! ಮೂರು ರಾತ್ರಿಗಳ ಉಪವಾಸವೆಂಬ ಅತ್ಯಂತ ದುಷ್ಕರ ಕರ್ಮವನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿದರೆ, ಅಲೆಯುವವನ ಹೆಜ್ಜೆಗಳೆಷ್ಟು ಅಷ್ಟೇ (ಪುಣ್ಯ) ಲಭಿಸುತ್ತದೆ.
