Brahmavidya
देहस्थः सकलो ज्ञेयो निष्कलो देहवर्जितः । आप्तोपदेशगम्योऽसौ सर्वतः समवस्थितः ॥३३॥
देहस्थः सकलः ज्ञेयः निष्कलः देह-वर्जितः । आप्त-उपदेश-गम्यः असौ सर्वतः समवस्थितः ।
dehasthaḥ sakalo jñeyo niṣkalo dehavarjitaḥ | āptopadeśagamyo 'sau sarvataḥ samavasthitaḥ ||33||
ದೇಹದಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ಥಿತನಾಗಿರುವಾಗ ಅವನು ‘ಸಕಲ’ (ಗುಣ-ಅವಯವಯುಕ್ತ) ಎಂದು ತಿಳಿಯಬೇಕು; ಆದರೂ ಅವನು ‘ನಿಷ್ಕಲ’—ದೇಹವರ್ಜಿತ, ಅವಯವರಹಿತ. ಆಪ್ತನ ಉಪದೇಶದಿಂದ ಅವನು ತಿಳಿಯಲ್ಪಡುತ್ತಾನೆ; ಎಲ್ಲೆಡೆ ಸಮವಾಗಿ ಸ್ಥಿತನಾಗಿದ್ದಾನೆ.
When situated in the body, He is to be known as ‘with parts/attributes’ (sakala); (yet) He is partless (niṣkala), free from the body. He is knowable through the instruction of a trustworthy authority (āpta); He is equally present everywhere.
