Tirtha: Svargadvāra
Type: ghat
Listener: null
Scene: A sacred riverbank at dawn in Ayodhyā: the Sarayū glows; a marked ghat named Svargadvāra stands like a symbolic portal, with pilgrims offering water and lamps; a narrator-sage raises a hand in oath-like emphasis (‘satyam’).
The text uses a solemn truth-affirmation to instill faith in the transformative power of the tīrtha.
Svargadvāra is exalted as unequalled anywhere in the universe.
No specific rite is named; the verse strengthens śraddhā (trust) in Svargadvāra’s efficacy.
