tatra snātvā mahādevi yajñakoṭiphalaṃ labhet | tasyaiva kalpanāmāni śṛṇu te kathayāmyaham
Śiva (deduced from Mahādevī-addressed dialogue in this adhyāya)
Tirtha: Cakratīrtha
Type: kund
Listener: Mahādevī (Pārvatī)
Scene: Pilgrims bathing as celestial fires of yajña appear symbolically above the water—ten million tiny sacrificial flames forming a radiant canopy; the narrator addresses Mahādevī, gesturing toward the tīrtha while revealing a scroll/list of its kalpa-names.
A single sincere tīrtha-bath can equal vast ritual labors when performed in a supremely sanctified place.
Prabhāsakṣetra and its principal tīrtha (contextually the Prabhāsa region).
Snāna at the site; the verse also introduces a teaching on the site’s kalpa-specific names.
