cakurugraṃ tapaste tu pūjāṃ devasya śūlinaḥ | teṣu vai tapyamāneṣu kṛpāviṣṭo maheśvaraḥ

ಅವರು ಉಗ್ರ ತಪಸ್ಸನ್ನು ಆಚರಿಸಿ ಶೂಲಧಾರಿ ದೇವನ ಪೂಜೆಯನ್ನು ನೆರವೇರಿಸಿದರು; ಅವರು ತಪದಲ್ಲಿ ತೊಡಗಿದ್ದಾಗ ಮಹೇಶ್ವರನು ಕರುಣೆಯಿಂದ ತುಂಬಿದನು।
