ततः स पृथिवीपालः साम्ना चोग्रेण च स्वयम् । पर्यपृच्छत्सुहृद्वर्गं प्रत्यजानन्न चैव ते

Transliteration

tataḥ sa pṛthivīpālaḥ sāmnā cogreṇa ca svayam | paryapṛcchatsuhṛdvargaṃ pratyajānanna caiva te

Translation

ನಂತರ ಆ ಭೂಪಾಲನು (ರಾಜನು) ಕೆಲವೊಮ್ಮೆ ಸೌಮ್ಯ ವಚನಗಳಿಂದಲೂ ಕೆಲವೊಮ್ಮೆ ಕಠೋರ ವಚನಗಳಿಂದಲೂ ಸ್ವತಃ ತನ್ನ ಸುಹೃದ್ವರ್ಗವನ್ನು ವಿಚಾರಿಸಿದನು; ಆದರೆ ಅವರು ಆ ವಿಷಯವನ್ನು ಏನೂ ಒಪ್ಪಲಿಲ್ಲ.
