अष्टोत्तरशतैर्नाम्नां सम्यक्छ्रद्धासमन्वितः । शृणु तानि महादेवि शुचिर्भूत्वा समाहितः
aṣṭottaraśatairnāmnāṃ samyakchraddhāsamanvitaḥ | śṛṇu tāni mahādevi śucirbhūtvā samāhitaḥ
ಯಥಾರ್ಥ ಶ್ರದ್ಧೆಯಿಂದ ಯುಕ್ತನಾಗಿ ಅವನು ಅಷ್ಟೋತ್ತರಶತ ನಾಮಗಳಿಂದ (ಸೂರ್ಯನನ್ನು) ಸ್ತುತಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ. ಹೇ ಮಹಾದೇವಿ, ನೀನು ಶುದ್ಧಳಾಗಿ ಏಕಾಗ್ರಚಿತ್ತದಿಂದ ಆ ನಾಮಗಳನ್ನು ಕೇಳು।
