ನಂತರ ಅವರು ಆ ಗೋಧನವನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಹರ್ಷಿತ ಮನಸ್ಸಿನಿಂದ ಹೊರಟರು. ಆದರೆ ತ್ರಿತನು ಅಲ್ಲಿ ನೀರಿಲ್ಲದ ಕೂಪದಲ್ಲಿ ಬಿದ್ದವನಾಗಿ ಉಳಿದನು.
