अहोरात्रं मुहूर्तेन मुहूर्तं तु कलाहतम् । कलां काष्ठा हतां कृत्वा काष्ठां निमिषभाजिताम्
ahorātraṃ muhūrtena muhūrtaṃ tu kalāhatam | kalāṃ kāṣṭhā hatāṃ kṛtvā kāṣṭhāṃ nimiṣabhājitām
ಅಹೋರಾತ್ರವು ಮುಹೂರ್ತಗಳಿಂದ ಗಣಿಸಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ; ಮುಹೂರ್ತವು ಕಲಾಗಳಾಗಿ ವಿಭಾಗಿತ. ಕಲೆಯನ್ನು ಕಾಷ್ಠೆಗಳಾಗಿ, ಕಾಷ್ಠೆಯನ್ನು ನಿಮಿಷಗಳಾಗಿ ವಿಭಜಿಸಿ—ಇದೇ ಕಾಲಮಾಪನ.
