ಆಕೆ ತನ್ನ ಸ್ವತೇಜಸ್ಸಿನಿಂದ ಸೂರ್ಯಬಿಂಬವನ್ನೂ ಮಸುಕುಗೊಳಿಸಿದಾಗ, ದೇವ-ದಾನವರಿಂದ ವಂದಿತಳಾಗಿ ‘ಅರುಂಧತಿ’ ಎಂಬ ನಾಮದಿಂದ ಪ್ರಸಿದ್ಧಳಾದಳು।
