अस्मिन्मन्वन्तरे क्षिप्तः सागरैश्च चतुर्दिशम् । तस्येदं कीर्तितं देवि नाम सागरसंज्ञितम्
asminmanvantare kṣiptaḥ sāgaraiśca caturdiśam | tasyedaṃ kīrtitaṃ devi nāma sāgarasaṃjñitam
ಹೇ ದೇವಿ, ಈ ಮನ್ವಂತರದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವನು ನಾಲ್ಕು ದಿಕ್ಕುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಸಾಗರಗಳಿಂದ ಕ್ಷಿಪ್ತನಾಗಿ ಪ್ರಸಾರಗೊಂಡನು; ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ಈ ಸ್ಥಳ ‘ಸಾಗರ’ ಎಂಬ ನಾಮದಿಂದ ಕೀರ್ತಿತವಾಗಿದೆ.
