ಭಾಮಿನಿ, ಎಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾಸ್ಕರನು ಪ್ರತ്യക്ഷನಂತೆ ಸದಾ ನೆಲೆಸಿರುವನೋ; ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ‘ಪ್ರಭಾಸ’ ಎಂಬ ನಾಮವು ಭೂಮಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಸಿದ್ಧಿಯಾಯಿತು.
