ratiruvāca | yadi tuṣṭo'si me deva bhagavaṃlloka bhāvanaḥ | akṣatāṃgaḥ punaḥ kāmaḥ kāṃto me jāyatāṃ patiḥ
Rati
Listener: Maheśvara (Śiva)
Scene: Rati, with folded hands, petitions Śiva: may Kāma be restored with intact limbs and become her husband again; Śiva listens compassionately.
Even after loss and divine chastisement, restoration is possible through devotion and Śiva’s grace.
The request is embedded in the Arbuda-khaṇḍa account that supports the glory of Kāmeśvara connected with Arbuda.
No new ritual is prescribed in this verse; it records the boon sought after prior observances.
