महिषासुर उवाच । क्वचिद्दृष्टं त्वया किञ्चिदाश्चर्यं भूतले मुने । दैवं वा मानुषं वापि दानवा लंभिता विभो
mahiṣāsura uvāca | kvaciddṛṣṭaṃ tvayā kiñcidāścaryaṃ bhūtale mune | daivaṃ vā mānuṣaṃ vāpi dānavā laṃbhitā vibho
ಮಹಿಷಾಸುರನು ಹೇಳಿದರು—ಹೇ ಮುನೇ! ಭೂತಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಎಲ್ಲಾದರೂ ಯಾವುದಾದರೂ ಆಶ್ಚರ್ಯವನ್ನು ನೀನು ಕಂಡೆಯೇ—ದೈವವಾಗಲಿ ಮಾನವವಾಗಲಿ—ಅದರಿಂದ ದಾನವರು ಮೀರಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಂತೆ, ಹೇ ವಿಭೋ?
