ध्वजं चिच्छेद चैकेन ततोऽन्येन हृदि क्षतः । स गात्रविद्धो व्यथितो ध्वजयष्टिं समाश्रितः
dhvajaṃ ciccheda caikena tato'nyena hṛdi kṣataḥ | sa gātraviddho vyathito dhvajayaṣṭiṃ samāśritaḥ
ಒಂದು ಬಾಣದಿಂದ ಆಕೆಯು ಅವನ ಧ್ವಜವನ್ನು ಕತ್ತರಿಸಿದಳು; ಇನ್ನೊಂದರಿಂದ ಅವನ ಎದೆಗೆ ಗಾಯಗೊಳಿಸಿದಳು. ದೇಹದಾದ್ಯಂತ ಗಾಯಗೊಂಡು ನೋವಿನಿಂದ ಬಳಲುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಅವನು ಧ್ವಜಸ್ತಂಭವನ್ನು ಆಶ್ರಯಿಸಿದನು.
