tasmātsarvaprayatnena īśvaraṃ śaraṇaṃ vraaijā | evaṃ bruvati govinda āgataḥ sainyasāgaraḥ | vīrabhadreṇa sadṛśo dadṛśustaṃ tadā surāḥ
Mahāviṣṇu (Govinda) for the exhortation; Lomaśa as narrative voice for the scene
Tirtha: Kedāra (Kedārakṣetra)
Type: kshetra
Scene: As Viṣṇu urges refuge in Īśvara, the horizon fills with an ocean-like army; devas behold a formidable being resembling Vīrabhadra—portent of Shaiva wrath and dharma-restoration.
The highest protection is Īśvara-śaraṇāgati (taking refuge in the Lord), especially amid upheaval and conflict.
The Kedāra Khaṇḍa narrative backdrop relates to Kedārakṣetra; this verse focuses on the unfolding divine event rather than a tīrtha-benefit.
Not a ritual, but a spiritual injunction: seek the Lord as refuge (śaraṇaṃ vraja).
