yajñavāṭācca dakṣasya tvaritaḥ svāśramaṃ yayau | munau vinirgate dakṣaḥ prahasannidamabravīt
Sūta (Lomaharṣaṇa) narrating
Tirtha: Dakṣa-yajña locus (within Kedāra narrative)
Type: kshetra
Scene: Dadhīci exits quickly toward his forest āśrama; inside the yajña pavilion Dakṣa turns with a faint smile, about to address the assembly; flames rise steadily, drums and chants continue, while a subtle shadow of doom gathers.
Pride can remain smiling even after rebuke; Purāṇas caution that arrogance in ritual undermines its sanctity.
The episode unfolds within Kedārakhaṇḍa’s sacred geography, though the verse centers on Dakṣa’s yajña setting.
No prescription—only reference to the yajña-vāṭa (sacrificial arena).
