na mālatī na maṃdāraḥ śatapatraṃ na mallikā | tathā priyāṇi śrīvṛkṣo yathā madanavidviṣaḥ

ಮಾಲತಿ ಅಲ್ಲ, ಮಂದಾರ ಅಲ್ಲ, ಶತಪತ್ರ ಪದ್ಮ ಅಲ್ಲ, ಮಲ್ಲಿಕಾ ಅಲ್ಲ—ಮದನವಿದ್ವೇಷಿ ಶಿವನಿಗೆ ಶ್ರೀವೃಕ್ಷ (ಬಿಲ್ವ) ಎಷ್ಟು ಪ್ರಿಯವೋ ಅಷ್ಟು ಮತ್ತೇನೂ ಪ್ರಿಯವಲ್ಲ.
