chidyatāṃ sūtradhāreṇa vidyāparaśunādhunā | bhajāmi tava śiṣyo'haṃ varivasyāparaściram

ಈಗ ಸೂತ್ರಧಾರ (ಮಾರ್ಗದರ್ಶಕ)ನ ಮೂಲಕ ಮತ್ತು ವಿದ್ಯೆಯೆಂಬ ಪರಶುವಿನಿಂದ ಈ ಬಂಧನ ಕತ್ತರಿಸಲಿ. ನಾನು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಶಿಷ್ಯನಾಗಿ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಶರಣು ಹೊಂದುತ್ತೇನೆ; ಬಹುಕಾಲ ನಾನು ಕೇವಲ ಬಾಹ್ಯ ವರಿವಸ್ಯೆ (ಪೂಜೆ-ಸೇವೆ)ಯಲ್ಲೇ ತೊಡಗಿದ್ದೆ, ಉನ್ನತ ಸಾಧನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅಲ್ಲ.
