नमस्कृत्य वचोऽवोचमिति भाव्यर्थनोदितः । तथा मतिस्तथा मित्रं व्यवसायस्तथा नृणाम्
namaskṛtya vaco'vocamiti bhāvyarthanoditaḥ | tathā matistathā mitraṃ vyavasāyastathā nṛṇām
ನಮಸ್ಕರಿಸಿ ನಾನು ಮಾತಾಡಿದೆನು, ನನ್ನ ಅಭಿಪ್ರೇತಾರ್ಥದಿಂದ ಪ್ರೇರಿತನಾಗಿ. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಮನುಷ್ಯರ ಮತಿ ಹೇಗಿದೆಯೋ, ಸ್ನೇಹವೂ ಹಾಗೆಯೇ, ಉದ್ಯಮವೂ ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಇರುತ್ತದೆ.
