अथ क्षुधाबलं ज्ञात्वा मामौदरिकसत्तमम् । क्रूरं साहसिकं चैव न स्तौषि क्षमिणां वरः
atha kṣudhābalaṃ jñātvā māmaudarikasattamam | krūraṃ sāhasikaṃ caiva na stauṣi kṣamiṇāṃ varaḥ
ಅಥವಾ ನನ್ನ ಕ್ಷುಧಾಜನಿತ ಬಲವನ್ನು ತಿಳಿದು—ನನ್ನನ್ನು, ಉದರಲೋಲುಪರಲ್ಲಿ ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠನೆಂದು—ಕ್ರೂರನೂ ಸಾಹಸಿಕನೂ ಎಂದು ಭಾವಿಸಿದರೂ, ಓ ಕ್ಷಮಾಶೀಲರಲ್ಲಿ ವರಾ, ನೀನು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಸ್ತುತಿಸುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.
