सुहृदय उवाच । क्षत्रियाणां कुले जातस्त्वहं धर्माभिरक्षिणाम् । तस्मात्ते पातकं कर्तुं न दास्यामि कथंचन
suhṛdaya uvāca | kṣatriyāṇāṃ kule jātastvahaṃ dharmābhirakṣiṇām | tasmātte pātakaṃ kartuṃ na dāsyāmi kathaṃcana
ಸುಹೃದಯನು ಹೇಳಿದನು—ನಾನು ಧರ್ಮವನ್ನು ರಕ್ಷಿಸುವ ಕ್ಷತ್ರಿಯ ಕುಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಜನಿಸಿದ್ದೇನೆ. ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ನೀನು ಈ ಪಾತಕವನ್ನು ಮಾಡುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ನಾನು ಯಾವ ರೀತಿಯಲ್ಲೂ ಅವಕಾಶ ನೀಡುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.
