अन्तःक्षुरा वाङ्मधुराः कूपाश्धन्नास्तृणौरिव । कुर्वते ये बहून्मार्गांस्तांस्तान्हेतुबलन्विताः
antaḥkṣurā vāṅmadhurāḥ kūpāśdhannāstṛṇauriva | kurvate ye bahūnmārgāṃstāṃstānhetubalanvitāḥ
ಒಳಗೆ ಕ್ಷುರದಂತೆ ತೀಕ್ಷ್ಣರು, ಆದರೆ ವಾಣಿ ಮಧುರ; ಹುಲ್ಲಿನಿಂದ ಮುಚ್ಚಿದ ಬಾವಿಯಂತೆ. ಅನೇಕ (ಮೋಸಭರಿತ) ಮಾರ್ಗಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡುವವರು ಕಾರಣ-ತರ್ಕ ಮತ್ತು ಬಲದಿಂದ ಸಜ್ಜಾಗಿ ಒಂದೊಂದಾಗಿ ಹಾಗೆ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಾರೆ.
