कृशोतीव गलत्कुष्ठी प्रमुह्यंश्च पदेपेद । नंदभद्रमुवाचेदं कृच्छ्रात्संस्तभ्य बालकः
kṛśotīva galatkuṣṭhī pramuhyaṃśca padepeda | naṃdabhadramuvācedaṃ kṛcchrātsaṃstabhya bālakaḥ
ಆ ಬಾಲಕನು ಅತ್ಯಂತ ಕೃಶನಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಕುಷ್ಠವು ಕರಗಿ ಹರಿಯುತ್ತಿತ್ತು, ಹೆಜ್ಜೆ ಹೆಜ್ಜೆಗೆ ಮೂರ್ಚೆ ಹೊಂದುತ್ತಿದ್ದನು; ಬಹಳ ಕಷ್ಟದಿಂದ ತನ್ನನ್ನು ತಾನೆ ತಡೆದು ನಂದಭದ್ರನಿಗೆ ಈ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ಹೇಳಿದನು।
