श्रोता चाप्यथ वक्तारं तदा वाक्यं न रोहति । अथ यः स्वप्रियं ब्रूयाच्छ्रोतुर्वोत्सृज्ययदृतम्
śrotā cāpyatha vaktāraṃ tadā vākyaṃ na rohati | atha yaḥ svapriyaṃ brūyācchroturvotsṛjyayadṛtam
ಶ್ರೋತೆಯೂ ವಕ್ತಾರನ್ನು ಅವಮಾನಿಸಿದರೆ ಆ ವಾಕ್ಯ ಮನಸ್ಸಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಬೇರು ಬಿಡುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಶ್ರೋತಿಗೆ ಹಿತವಾದ ಸತ್ಯವನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು, ತನ್ನಿಗೆ ಇಷ್ಟವಾದುದನ್ನೇ ಹೇಳುವವನು,
