वाक्यज्ञेयेषु भिन्नेषु यत्राभेदः प्रदृश्यते । तत्रातिशयहेतुत्वं तत्सौक्ष्म्यमिति निर्दिशेत्
vākyajñeyeṣu bhinneṣu yatrābhedaḥ pradṛśyate | tatrātiśayahetutvaṃ tatsaukṣmyamiti nirdiśet
ವಾಕ್ಯದಿಂದ ಗ್ರಹ್ಯವಾದ ಅರ್ಥಗಳು ಭಿನ್ನವಾಗಿದ್ದರೂ, ಯತ್ರ ಅಂತರ್ನಿಹಿತ ಅಭೇದವು ಗೋಚರವಾಗುವುದೋ—ಉತ್ಕರ್ಷಕಾರಕ ಸಂಬಂಧವನ್ನು ಪ್ರಕಾಶಿಸುವ ಸಾಮರ್ಥ್ಯವನ್ನೇ ‘ಸೌಕ್ಷ್ಮ್ಯ’ ಎಂದು ನಿರ್ದೇಶಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ।
