अंतरं तु तयोः कार्यं तथा हस्तचतुष्टयम् । मुंडकोपरि काष्ठं च दृढं कुर्याद्विचक्षणः
aṃtaraṃ tu tayoḥ kāryaṃ tathā hastacatuṣṭayam | muṃḍakopari kāṣṭhaṃ ca dṛḍhaṃ kuryādvicakṣaṇaḥ
ಆ ಎರಡರ ಮಧ್ಯದ ಅಂತರವನ್ನು ನಾಲ್ಕು ಹಸ್ತವಾಗಿರಿಸಬೇಕು. ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ವಿವೇಕಿ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿ ಮುಂಡಕಗಳ ಮೇಲೆಗೆ ಕಾಷ್ಠದ ಅಡ್ಡದಂಡ/ಬೀಮ್ ಅನ್ನು ದೃಢವಾಗಿ ಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸಬೇಕು.
