परमायुः स्थिता षष्टिस्तदप्यस्ति न निष्ठितम् । तस्य यावद्भवेदायुर्देहिनः पूर्वकर्म भिः

Transliteration

paramāyuḥ sthitā ṣaṣṭistadapyasti na niṣṭhitam | tasya yāvadbhavedāyurdehinaḥ pūrvakarma bhiḥ

Translation

ಪರಮಾಯುಷ್ಯವು ಅರವತ್ತು ವರ್ಷವೆಂದು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾರೆ; ಆದರೂ ಅದೂ ನಿಶ್ಚಿತವಲ್ಲ. ದೇಹಧಾರಿಯ ಆಯುಷ್ಯವು ಪೂರ್ವಕರ್ಮಗಳಿಂದ ಎಷ್ಟು ನಿರ್ಧರಿತವೋ ಅಷ್ಟರವರೆಗೆ ಮಾತ್ರ ಇರುತ್ತದೆ.
