महाकाल उवाच । उचिता प्रतिपत्तिश्च कार्या सर्वेषु नित्यशः । प्रतिपत्तिं चोचितां ते विना गृह्णन्ति नैव च
mahākāla uvāca | ucitā pratipattiśca kāryā sarveṣu nityaśaḥ | pratipattiṃ cocitāṃ te vinā gṛhṇanti naiva ca
ಮಹಾಕಾಲನು ಹೇಳಿದರು—ಎಲ್ಲ ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಸದಾ ಯಥೋಚಿತ ವಿಧಾನ-ಆಚಾರವನ್ನು ಪಾಲಿಸಬೇಕು. ಯೋಗ್ಯ ಪ್ರತಿಪತ್ತಿಯಿಲ್ಲದೆ ಅವರು (ದೇವಾದಿಗಳು) ಅರ್ಪಣವನ್ನು ಏನೂ ಸ್ವೀಕರಿಸುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.
