षंडगानीति चोक्तानि द्वौ च पाकावतः श्रृणु । द्वौ पाकौ दानजौ प्राहुः परत्राथ त्विहोच्यते
ṣaṃḍagānīti coktāni dvau ca pākāvataḥ śrṛṇu | dvau pākau dānajau prāhuḥ paratrātha tvihocyate
ಹೀಗೆ ‘ಷಡಂಗಗಳು’ ಹೇಳಲ್ಪಟ್ಟವು; ಈಗ ‘ಎರಡು ಪಾಕಗಳು’ (ಫಲಪರಿಪಾಕ) ಕೇಳು. ಋಷಿಗಳು ದಾನದಿಂದ ಎರಡು ಪಾಕಗಳು ಉಂಟಾಗುತ್ತವೆ ಎನ್ನುತ್ತಾರೆ—ಒಂದು ಪರತ್ರ, ಮತ್ತೊಂದು ಇಹಲೋಕದಲ್ಲೇ.
