काष्ठा निमेषा दश पंच चाहुस्त्रिंशच्च काष्ठा गणयेत्कला हि । त्रिंशत्कलाश्चापि भवेन्मुहुर्त्तं तत्त्रिंशता रात्र्यहनी उभे च
kāṣṭhā nimeṣā daśa paṃca cāhustriṃśacca kāṣṭhā gaṇayetkalā hi | triṃśatkalāścāpi bhavenmuhurttaṃ tattriṃśatā rātryahanī ubhe ca
ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾರೆ—ಹದಿನೈದು ನಿಮೇಷಗಳಿಂದ ಒಂದು ಕಾಷ್ಠಾ; ಮுப்பತ್ತು ಕಾಷ್ಠಾಗಳಿಂದ ಒಂದು ಕಲಾ ಎಣಿಕೆ. ಮுப்பತ್ತು ಕಲಗಳಿಂದ ಒಂದು ಮುಹೂರ್ತ; ಮுப்பತ್ತು ಮುಹೂರ್ತಗಳಿಂದ ಹಗಲು-ರಾತ್ರಿ ಎರಡೂ ರೂಪುಗೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತವೆ.
