pātālagaṃgā yatrāstiṃ sarvapāpaharā śivā | tatra snātvā dadau skaṃdaḥ kṛpayābhipariplutaḥ

ಸರ್ವಪಾಪಹರಿಣಿ ಶಿವಾಸ್ವರূপಿಣಿಯಾದ ಪಾತಾಳಗಂಗೆಯು ಹರಿಯುವ ಸ್ಥಳದಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ಕಂದನು ಸ್ನಾನಮಾಡಿ, ಕರುಣೆಯಿಂದ ತುಂಬಿ ಪವಿತ್ರ ದಾನವನ್ನು ನೀಡಿದನು.
