पूजां च जागरं कृत्वा मुच्येत्पारुष्यपापतः । इत्याह स्कंदप्रीत्यर्थं स्वयं तत्र महेश्वरः
pūjāṃ ca jāgaraṃ kṛtvā mucyetpāruṣyapāpataḥ | ityāha skaṃdaprītyarthaṃ svayaṃ tatra maheśvaraḥ
…ಪೂಜೆ ಮತ್ತು ರಾತ್ರಿಜಾಗರಣೆ ಮಾಡಿದರೆ ಕಠೋರತೆ/ಕ್ರೂರತೆಯ ಪಾಪದಿಂದ ಮುಕ್ತನಾಗುತ್ತಾನೆ. ಸ್ಕಂದನ ಪ್ರೀತಿಗಾಗಿ ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ವಯಂ ಮಹೇಶ್ವರನು ಹೀಗೆಂದನು.
