स्कंदप्रसादजः पुत्रो लोहिताक्षो भयंकरः । एष वीराष्टकः प्रोक्तः स्कंदमातृगणोऽद्भुतः
skaṃdaprasādajaḥ putro lohitākṣo bhayaṃkaraḥ | eṣa vīrāṣṭakaḥ proktaḥ skaṃdamātṛgaṇo'dbhutaḥ
ಸ್ಕಂದನ ಪ್ರಸಾದದಿಂದ ಲೋಹಿತಾಕ್ಷನೆಂಬ ಭಯಂಕರ ರೂಪದ ಪುತ್ರನು ಜನಿಸಿದನು. ಇದನ್ನೇ ‘ವೀರಾಷ್ಟಕ’ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಲಾಗಿದೆ—ಸ್ಕಂದಮಾತೃಗಣದ ಅದ್ಭುತ ಸಮೂಹ।
