नारद उवाच । सत्यमेतत्कुरुश्रेष्ठ श्रृणु तच्चापि कारणम् । येन तासां कृतं रूपं न वा शापं ददुश्च ताः
nārada uvāca | satyametatkuruśreṣṭha śrṛṇu taccāpi kāraṇam | yena tāsāṃ kṛtaṃ rūpaṃ na vā śāpaṃ daduśca tāḥ
ನಾರದರು ಹೇಳಿದರು—ಹೇ ಕುರುಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠ, ಇದು ಸತ್ಯ. ಸ್ವಾಹಾ ಅವರ ರೂಪಗಳನ್ನು ಏಕೆ ಧರಿಸಿದಳು ಮತ್ತು ಆ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯರು ಶಾಪವನ್ನು ಏಕೆ ನೀಡಲಿಲ್ಲ ಎಂಬ ಕಾರಣವನ್ನೂ ಕೇಳು.
