महेश्वर यथा साक्षादपरस्त्वं महेश्वरः । ततः स्मयन्महादेवो जयेति भुवने श्रुतः
maheśvara yathā sākṣādaparastvaṃ maheśvaraḥ | tataḥ smayanmahādevo jayeti bhuvane śrutaḥ
“ಹೇ ಮಹೇಶ್ವರ! ನೀನು ಸాక్షಾತ್ ಪರಮನು; ನಿನ್ನಿಂದ ಭಿನ್ನನಾದ ಮತ್ತೊಬ್ಬನಿಲ್ಲ, ಹೇ ಮಹೇಶ್ವರ.” ಅನಂತರ ಮಹಾದೇವನು ನಗುತ್ತ ‘ಜಯ’ ಎಂದು ಉಚ್ಚರಿಸಿದನು—ಅದು ಎಲ್ಲ ಭುವನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಕೇಳಿಬಂತು.
