Transliteration

jaganmātā tviyaṃ bālā putrī te sarvasiddhidā | purā bhave'bhavadbhāryā satīnāmnā bhavasya yā

Translation

ಈ ಬಾಲಿಕೆಯೇ ನಿಜವಾಗಿ ಜಗನ್ಮಾತೆ—ನಿನ್ನ ಪುತ್ರಿ, ಎಲ್ಲ ಸಿದ್ಧಿಗಳನ್ನು ದಯಪಾಲಿಸುವವಳು. ಪೂರ್ವಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವಳೇ ಭವ (ಶಿವ)ನ ಪತ್ನಿಯಾಗಿ ‘ಸತಿ’ ಎಂಬ ನಾಮದಿಂದ ಪ್ರಸಿದ್ಧಳಾಗಿದ್ದಳು.
