धनदं चैव सप्त्या वरुणं च तथाष्टभिः । विंशत्या निरृतिं दैत्यः पुनश्चाष्टभिरेव च
dhanadaṃ caiva saptyā varuṇaṃ ca tathāṣṭabhiḥ | viṃśatyā nirṛtiṃ daityaḥ punaścāṣṭabhireva ca
ದೈತ್ಯನು ಧನದ (ಕುಬೇರ)ನನ್ನು ಏಳು ಬಾಣಗಳಿಂದ, ವರುಣನನ್ನು ಎಂಟು ಬಾಣಗಳಿಂದ; ನಿರೃತಿಯನ್ನು ಇಪ್ಪತ್ತು ಬಾಣಗಳಿಂದ ವಿದ್ಧಮಾಡಿ, ಮತ್ತೆ ಎಂಟು ಬಾಣಗಳನ್ನೂ ಹಾರಿಸಿದನು।
