तामापतंतीं संप्रेक्ष्य गदां महिषवाहनः । गदायाः प्रतिघातार्थं जगज्ज्वलनभैरवम्
Transliteration
tāmāpataṃtīṃ saṃprekṣya gadāṃ mahiṣavāhanaḥ | gadāyāḥ pratighātārthaṃ jagajjvalanabhairavam
Translation
ಆ ಗದೆ ತನ್ನತ್ತ ಧಾವಿಸುತ್ತಿರುವುದನ್ನು ಕಂಡ ಮಹಿಷವಾಹನ ಯಮನು ಅದರ ಪ್ರತಿಘಾತಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಜಗತ್ತು ಹೊತ್ತಿ ಉರಿಯುವಂತೆ ಭಯಂಕರ ಜ್ವಾಲಾತೇಜವನ್ನು ಸಿದ್ಧಪಡಿಸಿದನು।
