Transliteration

bhāratī tāraliṃgaṃ ca nāma lokatrayāśritam | śaniśca saṃgamāvarte jagannātheti nāma ca

Translation

ಭಾರತಿ (ಸರಸ್ವತಿ) ತಾರಾರೂಪ ಲಿಂಗವನ್ನು ಆರಾಧಿಸಿ ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ‘ಲೋಕತ್ರಯಾಶ್ರಿತ’ ಎಂಬ ನಾಮವಿಟ್ಟಳು. ಶನಿಯು ಸಂಗಮಾವರ್ತದಲ್ಲಿ ಲಿಂಗವನ್ನು ಪೂಜಿಸಿ ‘ಜಗನ್ನಾಥ’ ಎಂದು ನಾಮಕರಣ ಮಾಡಿದನು.
