ಆಗ ನಗುತ್ತಾ ಆ ಗಣಪತಿಯು ವೈಕುಂಠನಾಯಕನಿಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದನು, 'ಎಲೈ ಶಾರ್ಙ್ಗಧನ್ವನೇ! ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ನಾನು ಬಲ್ಲೆ, ನೀನು ರಣರಂಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಪಂಡಿತನು.'
