Transliteration

mahīyasāyuṣā teṣāṃ vasubhirbhūribhiśca kim | ye'bhimānadhanāneha labdharīḍhāḥ padepade

Translation

ಅವರಿಗೆ ದೀರ್ಘಾಯುಷ್ಯವೋ ಅಪಾರ ಧನವೋ ಏಕೆ? ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಅಹಂಕಾರವನ್ನೇ ಧನವೆಂದು ಭಾವಿಸುವವರು—ಹೆಜ್ಜೆಹೆಜ್ಜೆಗೆ ಆಸರೆ ದೊರಕಿದರೂ—ತತ್ತ್ವತಃ ಒಳಗೆ ಶೂನ್ಯರಾಗಿಯೇ ಇರುತ್ತಾರೆ.
