इत्थं दधीचिनाख्यातं जग्राह वचनं न तत् । दक्षो दक्षोपि तत्रैव शंभोर्माया विमोहितः
itthaṃ dadhīcinākhyātaṃ jagrāha vacanaṃ na tat | dakṣo dakṣopi tatraiva śaṃbhormāyā vimohitaḥ
ದಧೀಚಿಯು ಹೀಗೆ ಉಪದೇಶಿಸಿದರೂ ದಕ್ಷನು ಆ ವಚನವನ್ನು ಅಂಗೀಕರಿಸಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಸಮರ್ಥನಾದ ದಕ್ಷನೂ ಅಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ಶಂಭು (ಶಿವ)ನ ಮಾಯೆಯಿಂದ ವಿಮೋಹಿತನಾದನು.
