Transliteration

tadālāpāmṛtadhayau na me śabdagrahau priye | prāṇeśvari tadārabhya syātāṃ śabdāṃtaragrahau

Translation

ಪ್ರಿಯೆ—ಹೇ ಪ್ರಾಣೇಶ್ವರಿ! ಅವಳ ಸಂಭಾಷಣಾಮೃತದಿಂದ ನಾನು ವಂಚಿತನಾದ ಬಳಿಕ, ನನ್ನ ಕಿವಿಗಳು ನಿಜವಾದ ಶಬ್ದವನ್ನು ಗ್ರಹಿಸುವುದಿಲ್ಲ; ಅಂದಿನಿಂದ ಅವು ಅವಳ ವಾಣಿಶೂನ್ಯವಾದ ‘ಇತರ ಶಬ್ದ’ಗಳನ್ನೇ ಹಿಡಿಯುತ್ತಿವೆ।
