ब्राह्मणा ऊचुः । उमापते महेशान सर्वज्ञ वर एष नः । काशी कदापि न त्याज्या भवता भवतापहृत्
brāhmaṇā ūcuḥ | umāpate maheśāna sarvajña vara eṣa naḥ | kāśī kadāpi na tyājyā bhavatā bhavatāpahṛt
ಬ್ರಾಹ್ಮಣರು ಹೇಳಿದರು—ಹೇ ಉಮಾಪತೇ, ಹೇ ಮಹೇಶಾನ, ಹೇ ಸರ್ವಜ್ಞ! ಇದೇ ನಮ್ಮ ವರ: ಹೇ ಭವತಾಪಹರ್ತಾ, ನೀವು ಕಾಶಿಯನ್ನು ಎಂದಿಗೂ ತ್ಯಜಿಸಬೇಡಿ।
