मुक्तिलक्ष्मी महापीठ मणिस्तच्चरणाब्जयोः । कर्णिकेयं ततः प्राहुर्यां जना मणिकर्णिकाम्
muktilakṣmī mahāpīṭha maṇistaccaraṇābjayoḥ | karṇikeyaṃ tataḥ prāhuryāṃ janā maṇikarṇikām
ಅವನ ಪದ್ಮಪಾದಗಳ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮುಕ್ತಿಲಕ್ಷ್ಮೀ ಎಂಬ ಮಹಾಪೀಠ ಸ್ಥಿತವಾಗಿದೆ; ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಮಣಿಯೂ ಇದೆ. ಆದಕಾರಣ ಜನರು ಆ ಸ್ಥಳವನ್ನು ‘ಕರ್ಣಿಕಾ’ (ಕರ್ಣಾಭರಣ) ಎಂದು ಕರೆಯುತ್ತಾರೆ; ಹೀಗಾಗಿ ಅದು ‘ಮಣಿಕರ್ಣಿಕಾ’ ಎಂದು ಪ್ರಸಿದ್ಧವಾಗಿದೆ।
