कृतांतरायो न पठेद्भेकाखु श्वाहि बभ्रुभिः । भूताष्टम्योः पंचदश्योर्ब्रह्मचारी सदा भवेत्

Transliteration

kṛtāṃtarāyo na paṭhedbhekākhu śvāhi babhrubhiḥ | bhūtāṣṭamyoḥ paṃcadaśyorbrahmacārī sadā bhavet

Translation

ವ್ಯತ್ಯಯ ಉಂಟಾದಾಗ ಕಪ್ಪೆಗಳು, ಇಲಿಗಳು, ನಾಯಿಗಳು, ಹಾವುಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ನಕುಲಗಳ ನಡುವೆ ಪಠಣ ಮಾಡಬಾರದು. ಭೂತಾ, ಅಷ್ಟಮಿ ತಿಥಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಹಾಗೂ ಪಂಚದಶಿ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಬ್ರಹ್ಮಚಾರಿ ಸದಾ ಬ್ರಹ್ಮಚರ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ಥಿರನಾಗಿರಬೇಕು.
