दीर्घांगुलीभिः कुलटा कृशाभिरतिनिर्धना । ह्रस्वायुष्या च ह्रस्वाभिर्भुग्नाभिर्भुग्नवर्तिनी
dīrghāṃgulībhiḥ kulaṭā kṛśābhiratinirdhanā | hrasvāyuṣyā ca hrasvābhirbhugnābhirbhugnavartinī
ಬಹಳ ದೀರ್ಘ ಬೆರಳುಗಳಿದ್ದರೆ ಅವಳು ಕುಲಟೆ ಎಂದು; ಕೃಶ (ಎಲುಬಿನಂತೆ) ಬೆರಳುಗಳಿದ್ದರೆ ಅತಿನಿರ್ಧನೆ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಹ್ರಸ್ವ ಬೆರಳುಗಳಿದ್ದರೆ ಹ್ರಸ್ವಾಯು; ಬಾಗಿದ ಬೆರಳುಗಳಿದ್ದರೆ ಜೀವನಗತಿ ವಿಕೃತ ಹಾಗೂ ಕ್ಲೇಶಕರವೆಂದು ವರ್ಣಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ.
